Your Thief On The Cross Moment Is Now

The thief on the cross was a man crucified next to Jesus that got saved at the last moment of his life by asking Jesus to save Him.

“42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:42-43

A lot of people in today’s world know that they need to repent and turn to Jesus but they are enjoying sin so much that they want to put it off as long as possible and wait for their “thief on the cross moment” at the end of their life to secure a spot in Heaven after enjoying a life of sin to the last minute. What they do not realize is that RIGHT NOW is your “thief on the cross moment”.

“(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)” 2 Corinthians 6:2

Look at your wrist and you can see a pulse, each of those pulses you see could be your last one because the next one is not guaranteed. Each of those pulses are a chance to receive the free gift of salvation from Jesus. You may die of a heart attack, car accident, stray bullet, lightning strike, etc. If that is the case then you will die without warning, you will not have time to get your “ducks in a row” and do a quick end of life repentance to be saved. The Bible says to choose today what is more important, your sins and addictions or where your soul will spend eternity in Heaven or Hell.

” And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15

I have heard it from friends that they want to enjoy life now and worry about the “Jesus stuff” later in life. Are you still waiting for a “thief on the cross moment” like a red light special? If there was a 2 year deadline to claim a winning prize of $1,000,000 it is certain you would rush to the first chance to go collect your winnings and not wait so you can make sure you get it. Your eternal soul is worth more than all of the worldly money that ever existed yet so many put off salvation to enjoy sin and risk dying unsaved. Imagine right now you notice a small pain in your chest and all of the sudden…… BAM! You are dead of a heart attack! Were you waiting for your “thief on the cross moment”? If so you are already in Hell and have no more chances. Your “thief on the cross moment” is right now, repent and believe in Jesus Christ and He will heal you of every sin and addiction and give you a new life in Him.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23
