Pride is something that God hates. There are many forms of pride and each one of them leads to Hell.
“Gay Pride” is the celebration of sodomites being proud of their sin and parading it through the city streets even in front of children. God is against homosexuality and will not deal with a homosexual that is proud of their sin but will give them over to their “vile affections”.
“26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.” Romans 1:26-27
God is willing to help someone who is struggling with homosexuality and save them from the demonic bondage that they are in. It is the same with all other sins, God will give His grace to those that are ashamed of their sin and humble themselves. But if a person has “pride” in their sinful ways then God will resist them.
“But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” James 4:6
We are saved by God’s grace so if God is resisting a person due to their pride then they have no hope to be saved until they humble themselves and repent.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” Ephesians 2:8
Prideful people can not deal with the fact that they are powerless to save themselves and admit that they are a sinner that needs Jesus. Careers, money, social status and many other things can puff a person up in pride so bad that they will miss out on the gift of salvation that Jesus offers through His Blood. Most prideful people have a “god” of their own imagination created in THEIR image who is ok with their sinful ways, and in reality that “god” of theirs is Satan. The prideful “know it alls” are clueless to what follows their “pride”:
“Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” Proverbs 16:18
