Looking Forward To Heaven

When life seems hard and things in the world keeps getting more wicked by the day it is very nice to know what awaits us that have repented and put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation.  heaven2

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9

Jesus promises us that He is preparing a mansion for every one of us that believe in Him in Heaven:

“1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14:1-3

Every person that ever lived has experienced some sort of sadness in their life. Loss of family member, loss of pet, personal failures and problems, loneliness, etc. We will no longer be sad or mourn these things anymore in God’s Kingdom.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4

There will be rivers and trees and nature that is more beautiful than anything anyone has ever seen. But the best part is being in the presence of God and seeing Him for all eternity. There is no night in Heaven or any darkness at all, the light of God radiates everywhere.

“1And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.” Revelation 22:1-5

The most important thing we need to do in life is to get born again so we can go to this wonderful place forever.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3
