It’s a new season

Falling-Leaves-dreamstime_11646793-2Ecclesiastes 3:1  – There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens

I love this time of year! It’s so amazing to see how things change, and around this time I think about how God can bring us into a new season in our lives at any moment. Have you ever prayed and prayed for something to change and all just seems silent? You cry out to God and still hear nothing? A few months ago, I went through that for a while. It was a rough season in my life. I prayed to God about something and no matter how hard I prayed I felt like nothing was changing. I felt like I couldn’t hear His voice, but still I knew He was there. I had to keep telling myself it’s His timing and not mine and no matter how bad I wanted that change, I had to wait on God because He knows what is best.

Philippians 4:6  – Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

It’s hard sometimes to not get impatient because things aren’t happening the way we want them to and when we want them to. But through all the frustration, to be able to just take a moment and breathe and praise Him and thank Him anyways even if what it is you’re praying for doesn’t seem near, can really go a long way.

Isaiah 43:19  – See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland

The things I prayed for turned out to be even better than I expected and looking back, I wouldn’t have it any other way. It only shows me that God truly does have amazing plans but we just have to trust Him. Stay encouraged and know that He doesn’t stop working in your life even when it seems like it. It’s only temporary!  Your new season is coming and it’s a beautiful one!
